the question u shd be asking is, whether it will affect ur cpu...gpu has nothing to do with cpu cooler...
the factor is, how reliable is the component...when it comes to cpu cooling, quality does make a difference...having said that, u shdnt be facing any significant problem as such, as long as u install it properly and it wrks properly...

If your not overclocking it should be fine,but if you think the akasa cpu fan cooler is crap,I recommend a Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler.

If you can locate the Cryorig H7 , it's better than the 212 EVO.

Smaller too at 145mm.
