I have this weird purple text when hovering over a website or opening a file..

So I got on my PC to find that my text has gone purple. The computer text is not purple itself, but when I am hovering over a website for example, I get this purple text and I want to get rid of it.

That is an image of what I am talking to you about. It really is bizarre and I do not know why it is doing it.

The method is to press the print screen button. Then go to Windows paint and press Paste. Then select Save As from the File menu. Then select the option to save it as a JPEG file.

Then on the website select browse for your file (in documents) and upload it. Then copy the resultant file for use on forums. And lastly paste that file on the forum.

That is the Google Chrome "New Tab" function. In other words it is part of google chrome. Here are some info on that and changing the settings.

Noo its not that. The text is purple when I hover over something or go into settings. Theres no way to show you. If i had your number or email I could send it to you.

Can i send you a picture of it over text or something? i can’t explain it and it is really odd. the text is purple and i know it’s a tab

Type in this address (or copy/paste) and open it as you would do a webpage:

chrome://flags/#force-color-profile

You should see Force color profile in highlighted colors. On the right, change it to sRGB. Relaunch Chrome test it out. If that doesn't work, try any other options listed there where sRGB is.

See sarjoor's post here near the bottom of the page.

If that doesn't work, change it back to Default and wait for additional answers from others.

You can set the colors to anything you want. I use a theme to set the colors for me. They are available in the Chrome Settings menu under Appearance. There are hundreds of themes to choose from. Or you can just reset to the default Chrome theme.
