I have to go to BIOS everytime i use my Video Card.

Hi!
First i installed my Video Card on my rig and it didn't work so i checked my BIOS and i changed my settings on Init Display First from "Onboard" to "PEG" and on Onboards VGA from "Enable" to "Enable if no Ext PEG" then i saved it. When i boot it up and it worked. When i turned off my PC and turn it on again, it won't display so i connect the VGA cable on to the Onboard VGA and it worked so i check the BIOS again and it's still the same. I saved it and boot it up and it worked again. It's happening all over again. Even if i install the video driver. Can you please tell me what is the problem. Is it the Video Card or the motherboard? Is it my BIOS?

So when you turn it on again and go to BIOS, the previous settings are not saved? It is 'onboard' and 'enable' again?

Yes, the previous settings are saved but the problem is i need to go to BIOS and press F10 to save it.

So when you start it up, BIOS settings are set correctly to use GPU, it is just the GPU is not detected on first boot. But the system starts normally, and if you connect monitor to motherboard, you can see it went to Windows as it should? Then go to Device Manager and check if your GPU appears there. Also, what motherboard you have?

Gigabyte G31M-ES2C. it's kinda old and the Video Card is inno3D GTS 650

Ok, its old, but should work without problem. Try following thing: once it boots without display on GPU, wait till it gets to Windows, then blindly tell Windows to restart. If what I'm thinking is correct, you should be able to get display back on GPU without need to go to BIOS. However if that is not working, I'd have to say I don't know what's happening.

Or go to BIOS blindly and click F10 to save. Ok. What was the problem then? Because planning to buy a video card and i don't want to happen this again.

Honestly I don't know. Usually if something fails on GPU-motherboard connection, it stays down all the time. But considering that once GPU starts working it works fine, I would rather consider it's something not right with motherboard - which would mean you can run into similar trouble with new card as well. One thing you can try, that is simple and not expensive, is to put new battery into motherboard. It may help - or not, but worth trying anyway.
