I have Ubuntu but I want to create Windows 8 USB because my CPU hard disk is bad. It has Windows 8 on it (the other hard disk)

Well, it all started when a virus took over my computer and completely messed it up. I tried everything I could do, but I could not reset it, even with a USB from Windows because everything I did it would say "Partition is missing/locked" or whatever... So my teacher in my computer class gave me a new hard disk. The computer wouldn't take Windows 7 for some reason so I put Ubuntu on there. I took out the hard disk my teacher gave me, and tried to use the original hard disk to see if I could install Windows 7 on there, since it already has 500gb and the one my teacher gave me has 20. The error still keeps popping up so I replaced it with the Ubuntu hard disk. I am still trying to fix the other one, please help.

You could open Gparted in Ubuntu and partition/format the win 8 disk from there.
Unless you want to backup something...in that case, maybe USB stick or similar suffices for the backups?
