I have uprgaded my GPU to the Geforce GTX 960. I have an old motherboard, the GA-H61MA-D2V, which came with the computer which was pre-built.

I have an intel core i5 processor
750W PSU
8Gb of DDR3 ram

But when I install the graphics card into my computer, when started, my computer will only run up until the motherboard screen, with a big BIOS logo and gigabyte logo on the front and stays on that screen.

Could it link to drivers? Do i have to install the drivers before i install my updated GPU? Or is the problem within the hardware of the GPU itself

get back to the onboard graphics or whatever card you were using to begin with. uninstall all current graphics drivers and use something like CCleaner to get rid of temporary install files.

try again.

I have tried this so many times, it has the same outcome, thank you for the answer but I cannot think of another solution.
