i installed 32gb of ram 8gb x 4 sticks and windows only reads 8gb? any ideas please?

i installed 4 sticks of 8gb of ram g-skill and my computer and windows 10 64bit sees on ly 8 gb?

any ideas to help it read the 32gb? it is installed on a sabertooth x79

What CPU? Do you have the latest BIOS and mobo drivers? What CPU cooler

thanks for her answer, intel core i7 3820 , the cpu cooler is a water cooler. LAtest bios and mobo drivers : yes!

Couple of thought, first try loosening the cooler then snug it back down, screw tight and try. If the cooler is overly tight in a corner or side it can throw the CPU out of level so full pin contact isn't made. Another common problem is bent pins in the socket. Might also try raising the VCCSA voltage to maybe 1.25

tradesman1, thanks for your answer.
My cpu is pin-less, meaning the pins are not on the cpu, but rather on the mobo. the voltage is set to 1.35v in an overclock setting.
Still doesnt fix the problem, any other ideas please?

Remove all sticks, then try one at a time to make sure each is working, then move a single stick around to each ram socket to make sure they are working.
