Okay I so finally pulled the trigger on some A-RGB fans (4 ×artic p14, 2 x artic p14).( In the process of trying to get my gpu out I broke the little pcie clip that snaps when it's installed all the way. ) I also removed all the other case fans ( 2 lian li 140mm and 1 120mm lian li kept these ). After plugging everything up and turning the on the pc, i noticed the red cpu light on the motherboard was on amd it wasnt posting ( also noticed my gpu fans weren't spinning. Below is everything I've done. Please help!

1. I made sure the cpu fans were plugged up correctly
2. re-seated ram
3. checked cmos voltage
4. re-seated my gpu made sure it was being held up by its support.

PC specs:

CPU: Amd 7700x
GPU: powercolor red devil 7900 xtx
Motherboard: MSI Pro B650p wifi
Ram: Gskill Flare X 5 DDR5-6000
PSU: CORSAIR 850e
AIO: deep cool 520lt

With power off and the system unplugged use a bright flashlight and even a magnifying glass to closely inspect the area around the pcie clip that broke.

Look for other signs of damage in that area and then expand the search outward from there.

Depending on what actually happened to break the pcie clip there could be other damage elsewhere. May or may not be visible.

If the GPU is removed will the system boot using integrated graphics?

Does the CPU light go out?

Hey there,

Did you perhaps knock off the CPU cooler when taking GPU out, or putting back in? You're just gonna have to bite the bullet, and take the CPU cooler off, check the CPU, and put back in and re-apply thermal paste, and check again if it posts.

If you put the PC back to the old config, does it boot then?

Thank you for the suggestion I just

I tried removing the gpu, no luck. I looked and I really can't see anything that would look like it's broken anywhere else. All pins look to be in there and not bent looks be pretty solid no wiggle.

Just reinstalled cpu and cooler everything looked fin no bent pins on motherboard. Even tried no gpu as well. Tried unplugging every fan except the cpu fans and nothing.

Are you able to put together some simple diagram showing all of the fans and fan connections?

Does not need to be fancy or a work of art. Just enough to clearly show all of the related connections: connectors, plug, and pins (pin-outs).

Then scan or photograph the diagram and post the image here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

This motherboard?

Verify that I found the applicable User Guide.

First review the entire User Guide and then double check all of the fan connections as presented on numbered Page 40 and Pages 42,43,44 (English).

Note the warnings on Page 44.

Pay close attention to the connection cables, order of connections, and the pin-outs (3 pin, 4-pin) being used.

The concern being that there is some error of omission or commission with respect to the whole of the fan connections.

Especially with respect to the red CPU light being on. Something is very amiss.

Resetting and flashing could make things worse.
