i installed some dvd burning software.....

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain (More info?)

and now i keep getting a blue screen. sigverif.exe identifies a bad
driver... pcouffin.sys, which i understand is related to the software which
i have since removed through the add/remove programs facility.

i have also deleted this file but it keeps coming back.

how can i get rid of this pain in the butt?

Find out, using "msconfig" startup tab, where it is loading from (registry,
startup folder, etc) and remove it from that location. It is more than
likely a RUN registry value.
