I installed SSD on biostar group g31d-m7 motherboard.There is no option of raid or Ahci in Bios.Never Updated Bios.what to do?

I installed SSD on biostar group g31d-m7 motherboard.There is no option of raid or Ahci in Bios.Never Updated Bios.and in Bios when i open ide config. There below my ssd name it shows speed 3gb/s but my ssd supports 6gb/s.Will Using without ahci affect my ssd life?.What you guys recommend i should do?.IntelG31 is graphic card by the way

That's and older board, and doesn't support AHCI - I doubt a BIOS update would make it available.

You have SATAII (3GB/s) so, while the SSD supports SATAIII (6GB/s), the board/controller doesn't.

Not running AHCI won't impact lifespan, and neither will SATAII - you'll just be limited on speed.

The only way to get all the features you want, would be a full upgrade - probably not a realistic recommendation.
Therefore, just run with it at SATAII speeds without RAID or AHCI enabled. Nothing else you can do.
