i installed windows pro instead of windows 10 home

how do you wipe the hardrive clean so i can install windows 10 home. everytime i i try to resintall windows it only offers the option for windows pro....

delete the existing partition, quick format....

Use a Win 10 Home install media....

check your media that you have make sure it says home on the box and not pro. the keys to the os are not the same so if you have windows 10 pro key it will always come up as pro.

download the media creator https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

then run it and download the home version iso.

once it is downloaded, double click that iso file and run the set-up file. during install tell it to "save my files and settings". it will install the home version over your pro version while saving personal stuff. when it is done, you will have home and not pro version on your pc. no need to totally reformat.
