i just bought a new WD black HDD and it came with nothing

i dont know what connectors i need or even how to set it up. i already have a HDD in my computer this will me my 2nd HDD and it will be used for games so i dont know how i connect it or what to use to connect it with. i ordered it from amazon and all i got was a cardboard box sticker and HDD inside nothing else inside.. =/

SO im at a lost in what i am meant to do. (i DID build my computer but 3 yrs ago it came with everything but how to hook the power to main board. had to ask about that...
i dont want the drives connect together, i just was to use the new WD black 1tb drive as a game only HDD.. and the other ageing one as the OS and other things drive..

Hdds don't come with any cables. The mobo will come with sata cables. Usually 2 but some will have more. If you need more, you have to buy them. Power comes from the psu and it will have that cable. Screws will be from the case or if it's a tool less case then the hdd tray or caddy or whatever it uses.

You need a SATA cable to connect to the motherboard and you need to find a SATA connector from the PSU to supply power.

And if you bought off Amazon, you may have bought a version that wasn't meant to come with anything - some people only need the hard drive because they have everything else needed for setup.

Your PSU will have additional SATA power connectors you can just hook that into it. Your motherboard should have come with multiple SATA connectors, might need to go find the box and grab one. If not then you will need to go buy a SATA cable to connect the HDD to the mother board.

in the end i had to buy a new sata3 cable. because my computer is 3 yrs old i think i got rid of all the cables that came with it thinking it was junk... my bad there but eh... -_-
