I just built a PC, is there anything i did wrong, or any parts i shouldn't have gotten?

So about a month ago, I built my own PC. Before I start on anything, here are the parts I used
CPU= Intel Core i5-7600k
Motherboard=Gigabyte B250M Gaming 3
RAM=16 GB DDR4 Ballistix Sport
GPU=MSI GTX 1050 TI (Bought when GPU prices were very high so I couldn't get a 1060 6GB)
Case= Phanteks Enthoo Elite
CPU Fan=Hyper 212 Evo
Case Fans=2 Phanteks fans that came with the case and 3 Corsair LL120 RGB fans

My PC has been working good, but I noticed that I'm not getting the performance I want, and many of my friends who have also build a PC have told me that I some of the parts I got, like the 1050 TI and i5 combo don't go together that well. The 2 games I play most are Fortnite and League of Legends. On Fortnite, I get around 100 FPS on all Epic Settings, but sometimes there is screen tearing. And on League of Legends I get around 250 FPS on Ultra High settings, and there is also screen tearing sometimes. It would be nice if someone that has lots of knowledge with computer engineering could tell me everything that is wrong with the build and what I could do to fix it!

Thanks for reading and thanks for trying to help!

Solution
The time to ask is BEFORE you build.

I would have suggested a Z370 based motherboard so you could overclock the 7600K for some 25% more cpu performance.

The hyper212 is OK, but there are better $35 coolers like the scythe kotetsu or cryorig H7.

If this was built before the 8th gen intel processors were available, OK.
If 8th gen was available, 7th gen was probably a mistake.

GTX1050ti is a nice card but nowhere near what the 7600K is capable of using.
A balanced gamer will budget 2x the cost of the cpu for the graphics card.

Lastly, I would want a tier 1/2 psu from a list such as this:
