i just built my first pc and it is going into bios not windows 7

i am using the asus m5a97 r2.0 and every time i shut down the pc the next time i go to turn it on it goes into the bios. where i have to click on the hard drive to get windows 7 to load. i am also getting a cpu fan error but the fan is still spinning does this have something to do with it?

The most obvious issue could be your keyboard . Try another one if you can and see if the behavior is the same

What cpu fan are you using? And do you have it plugged in to the correct 4 pin header ? or a 3 pin nearby

it is a hyper 212 evo and it is pluged into the 4 pin marked cpu fan
