I just finished building a PC but it doesn’t really work...

Hey guys!

I just finished building my PC yesterday, however, when I pressed the power switch afterwards, only the GPU lit up. My cpu fan didn’t start, my HDD didn’t start spinning, and when I connected it to a monitor via HDMI, there was no signal coming from the PC.

I am using

MSI G370 SLI Plus Motherboard
Intel i5-8400
NZXT S340 case
ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080Ti OC edition
Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 650W
Western Digital Blue 1TB HDD
Samsung 250gb SSD
Gskill Aegis 8gb ram (2x4)

What could’ve happened? I’m pretty sure I plugged everything in the right place as I was following multiple YouTube video guide while building as it was my first time.

I have already tried everything on that post and nothing really changed anything, and that’s why I’m posting.

Try leaving only CPU and CPU fan installed, both 24 and 8 pin power cables connected. Start the board by shorting the 2 pins corresponding to the case power button. See if the CPU fan does spin.

Honestly I'd check the RAM first and reseat each RAM module in each slot to see if that is a problem. Otherwise it's time to start checking for bent pins as that is another logical possibility.
