Motherboard - MSI Z1-7641 ( https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130657 )
Current CPU - AMD FX-6300
Graphics Card - AMD RX 580
RAM - 16gb (2 x 8gb)
New CPU - AMD FX 8320-E Black Edition

I bought this prebuilt pc around 4 years ago, and have been upgrading it little by little over the years. I've swapped out the graphics card a couple times, and i've upgrading the RAM and now i need to upgrade the CPU. I have thermal paste and everything to install it, I just was wondering if i need to install a new bios or do something to my pc before i take out the old cpu. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

it is a MSI board go to there site find your board in support they will have all the info you need to do a bios update.
when that board came out the fx8320 and 8350 came out as well that board will work like it is with the 8320.

when you do a bios update there is some risk of bricking the board so only update if you need to

True, but I basically got it for free and I've heard it's better. How would I upgrade my bios? i've looked for a little while with no luck. And is there anything else i need to do after i upgrade the bios?

Upgrade to latest build. Use a good water cooler and over clock to 3.9GHz or 4GHz. Get a good SSD and use Primo Cache for some tiered storage. Should work well with the RX 480. You can play 1440p games easily
