I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 5558 and I have proof that this isn't the processor I indicated on the sellers site. Paid for a Dell with an i5 Fth gen 2.2 Clbl to 2.7. Got an i5 1.6 instead. All else exact same. The price however of the genuine article is much more. This came for the same price as the same machine with an i5 Fth gen. So should I just keep it or waste time and money on litigation?
Thanks much :)

I wish. Dell has stated that the reseller is a crook and that he buys these machines from Thailand and then smuggles them into the country! But they are washing their hands of it which is really not on. I will decide on my course of action today but please spread the word, www.syberplace.com is not straight and he does not give you what you bought. As for Dell, the next few days will tell. For now, I still believe in them as I have for 7 - 8 years!

Bottom line, this processor is an i5 4th Gen 1.6 GHz dinosaur but the 2.2 GHz which I should have got, is not a noticeable upgrade or so I was told today by Dell. So... I will keep you posted :)
