I'm building an old PC up and wanted to see if all the parts i'm currently looking at would be compatible with each other,

so the parts i'm looking at as followed
Intel DQ67OW mobo with intel i5 2400 @3.10GHz
MSI GTX 750ti 2gb
Corsair 550w PSU
8gb ram [upgrading soon]

thanks for reading and any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Solution
Intel 8400/8600k/8700k

Or

Amd 2700x

16GB 3200 Tridentz, 2x 8GB for either Intel or Amd.

Amd have lifted their game since FX 10 fold. Ryzen likes fast ram and especially ram with Samsung chips. Gskill 3200 the one I linked use Samsung. Search Samsung vs Hynix. People have experienced problems using Hynix versions of ram used on memory like Gskill and Corsair trying to run above 3000MHz dram.

Ill let you search best mobo for cpu you choose.
It's good, but old, i suggest you to pick.
1.Pentium G Series 2 Core 4 Thread
2. H110 Mobo or H310.
3. Ram 8gb
4. GT1030-1050 or rx560.

But for reducing the budget, i suggest to pick Ryzen 3 2200G.

yeah i know its old but as of right now its only a short term upgrade and i will further upgrade after Christmas, i'll make sure to look at all the parts you mentioned!!

The system you have is good enough for a place holder. Could even put a 1050ti for bit more oomph. Your i5 2400 is good enough until you upgrade to something more current. Im sorry, dont go pentium 2 cores / 4 threads you'll be sorry spending any money on that. These days even full 4 cores are being limited.

okay well i was looking at 1050ti too but as its only for the time been i wasn't too keen, when you say current can you go into a little detail? yeah i was just looking about that to be honest.
