So, this will be my second build. I am trying to upgrade. This is my current build now. which i built around 8 years ago.
-Intel I5 6500 CPU
-G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400
-Phanteks Eclipse Series PH-EC416P_WT Glacier White Steel ATX Mid Tower Cases
-GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1060 Windforce OC GV-N1060WF2OC-6GD Video Card
-CORSAIR RMx Series RM550X 550W 80 PLUS GOLD Haswell Ready Full Modular ATX12V & EPS12V SLI and Crossfire Ready Power Supply

I am running most things smoothly but I want to upgrade. This is starting to see its age. I will be mainly using it for gaming, but I also might want to stream, play VR or do some side AI/ML models. Im not really sure I want to go with intel only on account of people seeing that I might use this build for AI/ML. Here is the pcpartpicker build I am looking at. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tZBNyg. I am not worried about storage and I should be able to use my current case, but thats not what im worried about. Mainly I am not sure about the GPU/CPU and motherboard combo. or why a nitro+ is better than a 4080 or vice versa and everything in between. Im sorta trying to "future proof" the build but I know thats really not possible. So more along the line that I want my build now to outlast at least 10-20 years where all i would have to do is upgrade 1-2 parts. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
