Here. It used to say "get started" instead of additional info, but I guess they removed this feature. I checked online and it seems to not be available in W11 either. So they probably had a W10 update a while ago that removed the Fresh Start feature. Never really understood the difference between it, and the reset feature tbh anyway. Can you provide more context in regards to what you are trying to do?
- Are you trying to do a clean boot of your OS?
- Which "get started" button are you directly referring to as there may be several?
You might also take a screenshot, upload it to Imgur and post here for better clarification.
I got you! Yeah, they removed it a while back. The "fresh start" was essentially just a scrubbing of all temp files and non-used files from the system. The reset feature is used to either a) reset Windows back like it's brand new (removing everything) or b) Reset the computer using the manufacturer's hidden restore feature. HP and DELL both utilize this feature.Here. It used to say "get started" instead of additional info, but I guess they removed this feature. Thanks! One more thing. Is the reset function the exact same thing as an "in-place upgrade" or creating a media USB with windows on it and installing from there? Are those 3 all the same? Or are there some small differences?I got you! Yeah, they removed it a while back. The "fresh start" was essentially just a scrubbing of all temp files and non-used files from the system.
