Question i just realised my new laptop is never really turn off. he only "sleeps".

i bought a new lenovo laptop, and i have 2 unsolved issues:
1. if no use, it go to sleep automatically.
2. when i shut it of from start menu, i think it's not really shut down, beacuse i can fill even after few days the laptop is a bit warm, and when i turn it on the battrey went semi empty even if there was no use since last operation.

although i changed on power options window that "go to sleep" setting into "never", it still does!

What is the model for your Lenovo laptop? What OS are you working with? You might want to consider reinstalling the OS on your laptop, if you've actually hitting the shutdown option from the power menu for the laptop.

In the past, I've struggled with this issue too, until I found out that it was because my computer had fast start-up enabled.
