i built a PC a while back, fairly basic (core i3, 4GB DDR3, case+psu combo) but recently have had two electric shocks off it. One from accidentally touching the earth pin on the back of the power supply and once from just touching the case. Both times the pc had recently been disconnected from the mains.
The power supply came with the case so isn't brilliant, so I was thinking getting a replacement power supply, but not sure.
Help please!

Solution
Regardless of what you do - Definitely replace the power supply. Cheap case+psu combos are a hazard to your health and your computer's health. Always buy a quality PSU. If you need a recommendation for a new one then post your computer's full specs and the country where you are shopping.

And +1 on 'earth pin'. I think we should start a petition to change the term permanently to "earth pin" :)
