[SOLVED] I lost my pci-e 8 pin cable

Hello, i got an i5 8400,8gb ram, gtx 1050 2gb, and a coolermaster mwe 450watts +80 bronze thats semi modular, i've recently looked into upgrading my gpu into an rtx 2060 or gtx 1660 super,but i realised that i needed a pcie 8 pin cable from psu to these gpus, (my current gtx 1050 doesnt need any) since my psu is semi modular and i was really unaware of this whole pcie 8 pin cable thingy, i rechecked in my psu box and didnt find any pcie 8 pins , and they are not plugged into my psu, there is one slot thats named pcie 8P thats empty and has no cables attached to it, (my psu is supposed to come with 2 pcie (6+2) Pin, my problem now is that i really need a pcie 8pin, i've asked someone online he said i need to buy pcie 8pin ( semi modular ones) and from coolermaster, he said not any pcie 8 pin will work.

He is correct, unfortunately the PSU side of the cables are not standardized. You will need a cable meant specifically for your make and model of PSU.

but he said from coolermaster does that mean from any semi modular cm psu or it has to be the same model

Same model. If you contact them just give them the make and model (include wattage) and they will send you the right one.
