I mean it. This group is way more than I could have ever hoped for when
browsing usenet for info on a new game that I just picked up. When I first
came here, I wanted to soak up all the knowledge that I could, so I read
*every* *single* post. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, I decided to
stick around. Then I started to post a little bit after a while and was
quickly accepted among you. Everyone grew over time, we all learned more
and shared things. Not jus about the game, but about our lives, and that is
what has really defined this group. Not that we know a heck of a lot abot
an old game, but that we continue to come here on a regular basis to just
converse and have a good time.
I just got one of my computers up and running, so I subscribed to this group
right away. At the top of the list were posts from Sept. 2003. So, I read
a few for the memories. If you have been around here for a while, you will
most likely remeber when u told people to stop smoking, or when he announced
his birthday in such a subtle (sp?) manner. :) Or when people annouced
weddings, anniversaries, divorces, movings, deaths, celebrations, and most
of all, just their everyday life. Yea, it gets a little crazy at time, and
sometimes some of us get at each others throats, but that's bound to happen.
In my eyes, we are all one big family. And I love you all.

Hard to believe it's been almost 2 1/2 years since I started posted here,
and as you pointed out, we keep coming back.

actually, a bit of that was to him. how i read everything at first, then
slowly proceeded to post and to try to get along...
but yea, he didnt need to insult me. back then there werent near as many
posts as their are now.

I'm gunna take night classes and get a few certificates before I go back to
school full time for a degree. But eventually I want to have a couple
things to my name; some certs, an AS in Comp Sci, a BS in Comp Sci and two
masters, one in AI and the other in VR.
but thats a long ways away, and im taking it one step at a time.

Don't remind me. I'm the one who found out the game I've been developping
for the past 8 years had the same unfortunate acronym.

BTW, there's news on that front for people who still care. We're working on
a redesign of the site, to hopefully attract more people. (There just
weren't enough of us to keep it going before.) I'll keep you guys posted on
our progress.
