no such thing. the 5600x beats everything intel has to offer. i'd instead look for a 3600 or 3700x and go with that if you have to. that's the same as anything intel has to offer with a lot less power draw and no need for the expensive "z" mobo and high end cooling to keep it cool enough.

you're still better of sticking with amd if you are buying right now

I would buy a Ryzen 3600 right now and plop it on a B550 motherboard and buy a Ryzen 5000 later.

Is this for gaming? If so then save yourself a few bucks that you can put towards an RTX card when they're available and go grab yourself an Intel socket 1200 Z90 board and have at it.

At what resolution?

I have a 3800x gaming at 1440p. The 5600x and 5800x do not provide any frame rate improvement at 1440p.
But this route needs a very good gpu.

If you’re at 1080p the 3600x or 3700x are still a good substitute until the 5000’s are available and with sane pricing. Just get a nice B550 or x570 motherboard and your good to go.
