I opened my computer up cause I noticed it was getting a little dusty. I have a can of compressed air. I was spraying out my computer, and when I got to the HDD area, I sprayed and instead of air, I got liquid. The liquid got on the top (the metal-covered side, not the circuit board side) and ran off onto the inside of my case. I have now booted up my computer and everything is working fine, just want to make sure there is no permanent damage. Has anyone else had this problem before, and if so, is there any damage caused by it? I still have all of my data, and Windows loaded normally from the drive.

Solution
The liquid that's inside the spray [This liquid is actually fluorocarbons which create a cooling effect when evaporated, (like rubbing alcohol.)] probably evaporated by now so if you don't notice any damage to data i will say all is fine.

Try to be careful next time

OK thanks I will. I thought it was only supposed to come out if you tilted the can or turned it upside down? And yeah, it evaporated, but it did leave a small stain on the inside of the case...

That stain probably wont matter much (i am not expert on chemicals 😛 ) .
Yeah sometimes that liquid will come out even if you are holding it properly (Mostly happens when is about to run out of air).

As i said be careful next time
P.S I use electric air blower 😀 since here we get lost of dirt

Yeah I know, my can will run out soon. My school is entirely computer based, zero textbooks or anything, it's all on a network of about 70 computers. My teacher runs the whole thing on his own, he told me to get a compressor if I have the money, because the canned air is in-efficient and expensive, and, as we see here, potentially harmful.
