I need a driver for the Intel Serial IO I2C Host Controller that is compatible with Windows 7.

So. I came here because i need help finding a driver for the Integrated Serial IO I2C Controller in my computer, i've been searching for hours but no luck. Programs like "Driver Booster" or "Driver Easy" also can't find it, there is an unsigned version of the driver but it doesn't work and throws a BSoD after rebooting, i've found versions of the driver for: Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and even Windows 10. But no Windows 7 version. This laptop came with Windows 10 x64 Home Single Language on it, but i installed Windows 7 because 10 runs too slow with mouse lag and failing audio drivers.

Your laptop manufacturer's website is the only correct source of drivers for your laptop, and if they don't support Windows 7 on that model then you're screwed. You should have checked their website before downgrading.

Your only options are to search and scour the internet for a compatible chipset driver ('cos that's what you need for serial I/O controller) and that could take weeks or be entirely fruitless, or revert to the OS it was designed for and persevere with troubleshooting the two issues you referred to.

I will continue on with my search a little more but i don't think im going to find anything, as for reverting the OS... I don't need to since i have a triple-boot Windows installation with Windows 10, 8.1 and 7.
And yeah, i will try to find a permanent fix for those two issues i mentioned...
