i need a free software to OC my Q6600

i have a P5W64 WS Pro with a Q6600 8 gb ram and 660ti sli and i want to overclock my processor but i cant enter BIOS for some reason, is there a software that i can use to set it to 3GHz?

or possibly how i can fix my pc so i can go into BIOS.

yea no i can't download the link, Tom's Guide may be safe but chrome is making me go threw a lot to get to the download so no.

i have seem what this processor can do when OC'ed and i relay want to go to 3GHz, without upgrading.

Please keep in mind that if you OC the CPU will generate more heat. On some computers (Dell) the heatsink cannot be replaced. Look into this before you consider OC.

If your trying to go from 2.4 to 3 ghz on a processor that old your probably not going to even notice any difference in the "speed" felt by overclocking. One upgrade that will make your system feel faster would be upgrading to a SSD if you haven't already.

Can I ask the reasoning behind wanting to OC your rig?

BIOS:

*Entering it may be an issue with your KEYBOARD. Either it's a wireless version or not connected to a suitable USB slot but either way your motherboard might not be getting the "DEL" signal you press.

a) If it's wireless, try a normal wired keyboard, and
b) See your motherboard MANUAL for the recommended keyboard USB slot

If you want to upgrade to Windows 10 you may find it impossible if you don't sort out this issue.
