I'm building a budget rig for a friend, and I am looking for a good AM2 mobo for about $100. Can you guys help me out?

Because AM2 is cheaper. Also, I wanted to know if anyone can give advice as to which I should choose.

Also, if someone can point out a C2D mobo and cpu for $225, go ahead.

Not quite $225, but at $229 it is damn close! And before you say anything nasty about the PC chips board, remember, it is designed to run power hungry netburst cpu's so core2duo won't stress it at all! :) It is nice that it can run either DDR400 or DDR2!

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Conroe $184

PC CHIPS P23G (V3.0) Socket T (LGA 775) VIA P4M800 PRO Micro ATX Intel Motherboard $45

INTEL C2D 6400 + INTEL Performance 100%
= 550$

AMDX24200 + BIOSTAR Nforce mobo performance 100%
= 300$

Invest those 250 dollars difference in a 8800 gt with the AMD, instead of a 7900 with the intel
= Priceless

look it up TGs cpu charts that is exactly what i did CHEERS
(updated correct local prices) and yes i sell these rigs everyday 2 days, perhaps we get crap intel boards and good amd boards dunno but they perform the same)
