This is for Win 8.1. I made the mistake of downloading my iCloud files using a program called Copy Trans. It downloaded all my files. Plus 16,000+ duplicates.

I've been using a program called glary duplicate cleaner. It found all my duplicates but there's no obvious way to delete them all at once, and deleting 16,000+ files one at a time is ridiculous.

So, I need something that will find all 16,000+ files and delete them all with one click.

Thank you!

What's not displayed in Explorer? What has its own Explorer type window?
The results from this duplicate remover I tried.
If it's downloaded onto your computer, it'll show up on Explorer.
I knew that. There are over 16,000 duplicate files. They do not have the same dates. The only way I can delete the files is one by one. 16,000 times. I need a program that will delete the duplicates it finds with a single click.

If they all were downloaded on the same day, go to the root of where they were downloaded and search for "datecreated:[date]" in Exporer where [date] the numerical presentation of the date in whatever your local format is. Or you can do something like "last month" or "last week"

Your "original" 16000 files were saved in a certain folder structure on your hard drive.

Then they were copied up to the cloud.

Then copied back down from the cloud.

Where did they land? I assume in a different folder structure, otherwise they would have over-written your originals.

I'm trying to visualize what you have now....your current folder structure containing both "originals" and "duplicates downloaded from the cloud".

Do the duplicates have different file names than the originals?

Consider Powershell.

[Method 4]

You can easily find other similar links. Many of those links are also just a diguised ad for some deletion tool software. Look for links that are direct "how-to's" or tutorial in nature. Preferable by Powershell experts.

However, if you have any coding experience or are interested in such then using a Powershell Script may be a viable option. Or perhaps you know someone so inclined who could help.

Powershell likely to be more flexible and customizable.

Start out by first finding and identifying the duplicates. Then expand to deleting the duplicates.

Overall though be very sure that there are proven backups saved off of the current host system.

Just in case...,..
