I Need a Good Gaming Motherboard

Hello, I am new to the pc world and am building a really nice rig. I had some motherboards in mind but I know there are people out there that know A LOT more than me when it comes to pcs. So I was wondering if someone could tell me the best intel gaming motherboard under 250$.

- i7 4790k
- NVIDIA GeFore GTX 780 Ti SC/ACX
- 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro
- RM1000 Watt Corsair PSU

For under 250 I would probably say the ASUS Maximus VII Z97 Hero.

The best would be the Z97 Series by Asus. And within that budget, there is a perfect one for overclocking. Like what bigshootr8 said, the Maximus. Which is what I wanted to recommend.

If you want to save some money, then a Z97-A will do well but it is well below your budget.

I agree you can get a pretty strong performer at a lower price point. Wish they would start selling the ASUS Maximus VII Z97 Ranger have yet to see it yet. It's supposed to be the cheaper ROG board.

Hero is designed for better overclocking than the formula.

Hero is designed for better overclocking than the formula.

The hero is the better value the formula is over 300 if I recall.
