I need a good high quality monitor

After using this one monitor for a while i realized I desperately need a new one, its an awkward 1440 x 1050p with only 75Hz running on a GTX 760 gigabyte. I am going to upgrading my card later this year. In preparation I want a high quality resolution, response time, quality color and a high refresh rate which would be about or larger than 24 inches, i have the room on my desk so size isn't a concern.

Are there any good monitors that fit these guidelines within $300-500?

Kind regards,

Most monitors are 60 Hz. It is only games with very fast motion that will display noticeable motion blur on a 60 Hz monitor.
Monitors with IPS and VA screens tend to have better color than TN monitors, but these are limited to 60 Hz.
If you are not happy with 50 Hz, you are looking at a 120 Hz or 144 Hz monitor.

BenQ XL2411T, XL2411Z, XL2420Z or XL2430T or Asus VG248QE - 24 inch, 1920x1080 @ 144 Hz
BenQ XL2720Z or Asus VG278HE - 27 inch, 1920x1080 @ 144Hz, responsive but this resolution is a bit grainy in a 27 inch monitor
Asus ROG Swift - 27 inch, 2560x1440 @ 144 Hz, very good quality but expensive
