I'm new to the computer building world and I really need some direction buying my first graphics card. Here are my specs:

GSKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB

BIOSTAR B75MU3+ LGA 1155 Intel B75 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M600 RS-600-AMBA-D3 600W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Modilar

Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s

Intel Core i5-3450 Ivy Bridge 3.1GHz (3.5GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2500 BX80637I53450

I'd like to spend 150$~ and get the best bang for my buck. I'd like to play some games on good or best settings such as call of duty, minecraft, gary's mod, common steam games. Thanks!!

If you haven't purchased those parts yet, get rid of that Coolermaster 600W PSU. They make pretty terrible power supplies, and its sort of overkill for a 7770/7850. A good quality PSU, like a Corsair CX430 or a CX500, is most likely cheaper and higher quality..

I agree with Xttony, if you can, stretch that budget a little and get yourself a nice 7850. If you can't, get yourself the best 7770 you can, which I believe is the Sapphire Vapor-X 7770. You could also get the MSI 7770, but that has a cooler that is no where as good as the Vapor-X.

Remember that Minecraft is mainly CPU based, so you might not get the results you desire.

If he invests $50 more he'll be getting a much better card, it's not that people are able to upgrade their graphics card every year with a new release. He can always buy a HD 7770 or GTX 650 but the $50 upgrade is worth it.

Been using Cooler Master for 5years and have no issues yet. I had a 600 watt but when I bought 2 7970 to put in crossfire I had to go for a 800 watt PSU. Having had a great experience using cooler master I purchased it again and this time also I am satisfied.
