So, black Friday/Christmas is coming and am in need of a new CPU ;)

am willing to spend around £150-200

My current PC specs are

CPU: I5-4460 3.20GHz

RAM: 8GB DDR3

Mother board: https://gyazo.com/dbb5c7c9217902c9d4e97db812f9fe58 I am not sure what much of this means but am sure my motherboard is highly out dated and is in need of a new one

GPU: Geforce GTX 1070 AREO

Anything other info needed please ask :)

Solution
The 1600X is actually cheaper in the UK. Not by much, but 5-6 GBP.

Could go either way. 1600 + stock cooler and overclock = 1600X performance.
OR
1600X + aftermarket cooler and maybe overclock a little = marginally better than 1600X stock performance.

Well if you can find a 4770/4790(K) those are the best CPU's that will fit into your current socket.

I'd agree with WC here.

While an i7-4770 or 4790 would be a nice little boost, a new platform (albeit Ryzen 1st Gen) is not substantially more expensive.

I would say justifying 150quid or so on a 4770 or 4790 is really, really though these days.

That's 2066, not only would you need a different motherboard but memory as well as the system would require DDR4. Plus that CPU isn't very good for the cost.
