I am brand new to this, so please go easy on me. I have been trying to watch and read tutorials on this process, but I cant find the situation I am in..
I have an SSD I want to use for my OS and an HDD for storage. How will I set this up to boot accordingly before i install Win 7 on my new desktop?

Solution
Set the SSD as the only boot device. Who boots from an optical drive anymore? Booting from a USB flash drive is quicker.
Ok. I get it now. So the boot is what the OS is loading from. Makes sense. But, for the initial bootup i should have uefi optical 1st then ssd 2nd? Is this how you tell the PC to download from Optical to Ssd?... After i save and reset i will boot up win 7. Then when all is done, go back into uefi to change ssd as the 1st and only boot.

I always do my Windows 7 installation from a bootable USB flash drive.

If you have a modern motherboard there should be a function key that you can press during POST that allows you to select a bootable UEFI device from those detected (it can be any type of bootable device).
