Hi,

Thank you all for reading.
I want to do livestreaming with GTA5. Unfortunatly i'm having game-crashes and probably my CPU is bottlenecking. I'm thinking of buying a Intel Core BX80646I74790K i7-4790K, but thought I needed some expert knowledge on this.

I have the following build:

  • ■ Gigabye Z87 G1. Sniper
    ■ Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G3220 @ 3.00GHz
    ■ Noctua NH-D14 CPU-cooler
    ■ AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 390 8G D5
    ■ G.Skill TridentX F3-2666C11D-16GTXD DDR3
    ■ Coolermaster M2 720W PSU
    ■ Crucial M4-CT128M4SSD2 - OS
    ■ Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD503HI, 500GB - DATA/GAMES
What would you recommend to able to stream flawless and still have power to play GTA5 with lots of mods.

Thank you in advance.

Huh??

Why would you recommend a Xeon CPU when he has an overclocking motherboard I didn't even mention price?

Get the CPU you first mentioned, and if budget allows, get a better PSU.

Doesn't need to be right, but everyone can have their opinions

Thanks for the advice. This has been an surprise. Never thought the Xeon would be almost comparable to I7-4790K. I thought it had a huge advantage over it. GTA5 and some of the mods are heavily CPU-depended, but I think the Xeon will handle it just fine.

So I have 2 questions left:
What PSU do you recommend? Is the XFX 650W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply enough to run my setup.
Also, I am looking for a quality good screen for around 300-400. For now I will buy 1 screen, but in the future upgrade identicals. Which one is highly recommonded for 4K gaming?

the xeon is the same as a 4790k without the onboard graphics, and losing the overclock ability.
do you need the overclocking? not really.

the xfx will handle your rig very well.

4k gaming for 300-400 isn't going to cut it.
if u want a good 4k monitor to game on, u need a bigger budget.
imo look for a 2k gaming monitor.
like the asus rog pg279q

Thanks for the advice. So I'm looking at different monitors also curved once and 21:9 ratio.
With most of them there is a refresh rate of 60hz. Does this even count and on what part.
Considering the pg279q has 165hz.
