I need advice.

I am planning to upgrade my i5 4570 3.2 to i7 4790k, but from looking to recent recommend CPU for games right now it seems like its on the edge now.

Now i need a advice if i should upgrade now to i7 4790k or to different CPU that will be efficient for atleast couple of years.

The 4790k maybe a couple gens old but its still a very good gaming cpu.

The 4790k is an excellent CPU, not to say the 4570 isn't. Don't pay attention to "recommended CPU" statistics on games, they're total bull and only there to make people think they need to upgrade. If you need more performance, upgrade, if you don't then stick with what you have. If you have made up your mind to upgrade, at least wait a few weeks. There will probably be quite a few people upgrading from 4770k/4790k's to the ryzen lineup and the prices of used i7s could drop.
