hi I don't know a lot about pc's new or used I'd like some help and advise on the spec of a used Alienware aurora PC I might be buying is it good or not ?

Intel i7 2.67ghz with water cooled cpu
Geforce GTX 580 3gb
14GB Ram
1TB hard drive
120gb SSD drive (windows)
120gb raptor drive (games)
USB2.0 and USB 3.0
Dvd RW
Memory card reader
Genuine windows 7 64bit with disc.and.code

That translates to about $728.28 US.

I'd go for newer parts. The problem you get in to with older systems, manufacturer warranties (if not already voided by the previous owner) typically only run about 3-5 years. After which, you are on your own with replacement parts.

Depending on what you are using it for, you could probably get away with using a new Haswell i5, 8 GB of RAM, better video card, and an SSD and a HDD with the same storage, for about that price. I'd say buy the parts and build it yourself, or contact any custom builder, who can build it for you.

well iv just been made redundant so money is very tight right now .but I was thinking if and when I could afford to get something ? a list maybe 1 to 10 what to get first and second and so on ? any ideas ?
