I need an older DirectX

I have windows 7 and changed my video card. The one I changed to is older, but also better. I switched from an Nvidia Quadro 2000 to a GeForce 8800 ultra. The 8800 can't run DirectX 11, so I need 10... although I don't know if I can get DirectX 10 on here...

I've already tried that and all it says is "DirectX setup has determined that a newer or equivalent version of DirectX has been installed already. No installation is necessary".

never seen that ? installed fine on my windows 7 -0- issues -- but the way Microsoft is doing there updates they may of fixed thing to where it may not work anymore ..

something changed ?? I used this one I believe but it don't show 7 support but the web installe one does and all the rest as well ??

I just think Microsoft is killing off old software and programs little by little this is why I will not move off 7 I hate to think what all I will loose going to 8-8.1 or 10 - like all my good old retail games ??
