Hey everyone, I am planning on upgrading my PC early next year and I would like help on the components.

This is my Current spec:
Motherboard = MSI MS-7529 V1.1 (LGA 775)
Memory = 4GB ddr2 @800Mhz (non oc)
PSU: = 450W (I don't know the make)
CPU: Core 2 Quad q9550 @2.83Ghz (non oc)
GPU: = Gigabyte 750 Ti Windforce 2X OC edition.
Storage: = 2 3TB seagate Enterprise 7200rpm HDDs.
Display: = Samsung S20D300 1600x900 monitor.

I bought the Core 2 Qaud Q9550 2 - 3 months ago and while it has provided a lot more performance than my old Core 2 Quad q8300, I seriously need an upgrade. Everything except the GPU, HDDs and Monitor are 3+ years old with the PSU being about 5 years old.

PS: I play games like Back Ops 2 and Dying Light on Ultra (with my current system I can play Dying Light on Ultra with 50+ FPS with View Distance on low. xD). I am keeping my GPU and HDDs but everything else must be upgraded.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Solution
Sharndowg build mobo is not optimized. Ram will not work full power.

I don't have a budget as I am moving to the UK at the end of the year and i am no where near familiar with the currency there.

Thanks Hesus_In_Adidas for the link but that is quite expensive for me. For now i am looking for a cpu, motherboard, ram and Case.

Can you find out your PSU manufacturer? PSU is a very important component and shouldn't be forgotten, and if you don't know the make then its probably a cheap nasty thing. Get it upgraded asap. This PSU is made my Seasonic, the best in the business.
Try this:

Solution
What do you mean it is not optimised? You have posted a built with a Z series motherboard and a non-overclockable CPU. Also you have only 1 stick of RAM. Having 2 sticks enables dual channel memory and is twice as quick.

Wow. Thanks for the answers guys!

I am currently checking the difference between sharndowg and Jesus_In_Adidas recommendations.
I will select the best soon. again thanks for the good recommendations :)

1st thing. H170 mobo supports DDR4-2133 MEMORY TYPE, thus 2400 ram speed will be downgraded to 2133.
2nd. "YEAH, get H170 mobo" WHY!???? Z170 costs only 7 pounds more, not 27.
3. MSI are usually better quality mobos. Gigabyte you're offering is also micro-ATX. ATX gives better maintenance options. more sata ports.
4. I chose only one ram stick, coz it should be enough, since it's 1080p gaming and it;s higher speed DDR4 ram we're speaking about. He could upgrade to 16 gbs later on and have dual on the main sockets.

EDIT. replace your CPU with a better one - i selected, and you will see how marginal the price difference is.

Hey Guys. I am going with Jesus_In_Adidas's solution but with some changes. e.g.: Core i5 6600k, and 2 x 8GB ram and I am still deciding on which case. Thanks to all those who answered. xD

Good choise with 6600k - don't forget a cooler if you're going with overclocking. Also. 16gb are not really required at 1080p gaming. you might update ram when you're upgrading your GPU. New cards coming up in may 2016, go for 1440p card along with 1440p 144 mhz monitor. this is going to be a sweet-spot gaming requirements soon.

I agree completely Jesus_In_Adidas, I am going to need the 16GB for some video editing as part of an upcoming youtube channel.
