I need assistance overclocking my cpu

I have an AMD FX-8350 cpu, I love all my cores as they are, but I know I have the option to improve their performance. I also have the AMD Catalyst to choose to "overdrive" my components. What exactly is this? What should i set my speed to? (Default is 4100, max is 4400) How much is too much? Please help, I know enough but am not an expert. Thanks!

Why overclock for results you will probably never notice? At best 1-2fps. Toms has proven over and over again, it's not really worth overclocking.
