hello everyone, i have decided to attempt to overclock my "old" gtx 570 to squeeze some extra performance out of it, however the issue is games will crash withen minutes and i will either get a dx error or driver has failed error or something of that nature even if i apply a very small overclock like even 10 mghz on the core and not even touching the memory will cause games to ctd even tho i can run fur mark and other gpu stress test with a much higher overclock such as an additional 100 mghz to the core and 50 mghz to the memory.
i have tried applying small amounts of voltage to the card the using after burner and i dont believe heat is an issue since afer playing a game like Far Cry 4 for an hour the highest my gpu temps are 46 c(I have the gpu fan speed at 80 percent and an additional pci slot fan under the video card which is also helping keep temps down.)
my full system specs are dual xeon x5450 quad core cpus, 8 gigs of ram, 800 watt 80 plus server grade psu and this exact gtx 570 http://www.zotac.com/products/graphics-cards/geforce-500-series/gtx-570/product/gtx-570/detail/geforce-gtx-570-3.html.
any help would be greatly appreciated and one last thing, i have heard overclocking some 570's can kill them since they only have 4 power phases vs 6. i was wondering if that could be an issue.
