I need guidance on assembling an fairly old monitor.

http://imgur.com/a/uHNQB In that album you can see my situation. I'm just a 17 year old kid trying to pass time and maybe learn something.

My idea was to rip an old monitor of mine and try to de-bezel it. I thought it would be cool if i could get it as slim as possible and hang it on my wall as an extra monitor maybe. I pretty much have no idea how to do this though. By those pictures, can you tell me which parts i need in order to keep it working. IE. will i need those huge green pcb's? And i'm suspecting I will need the controls as well.

You need all of the electronic parts, including those PCBs. In TVs the display panel itself dwarfs the size of the accompanying electronics which results in a fair bit of empty space in side...
