The only real benefit for gaming is that it will load maps super fast. But, your pc will boot in around 10 seconds and navigate around windows really fast. It's an overall great experience running a PC with an SSD running the OS. If you get one that's around 120 gig, you can load the OS and a few games/programs on it. the Samsung 830 and 840 series are nice as well as the OCZ vertex 4. It's one of those things you don't miss unless you have used one.

larrym i am seriously considering that but rockdpm that card you suggested has more bad reviews then the one i had and that kinda worries me so is their anything that has that mine does not.

As i have said before.. you won't find really ANY hardware on the internet with someone that wrote a dumb bad review. trust me get the card I recommend. the reason i recommend is because its higher clocked and its a higher tier card...for the same price.. Why pay the same for a basic model when you can buy a higher end card for the same price.. Just search newegg for 680's.. i am telling you you won't a single one that doesn't have bad reviews...

While it is true that yours is slightly better in terms of clock/backplate and whatnot. It's not that hard to just overclock it himself. Not to mention the fact that both cards still use that boring design with a blower fan. I would Ignore it all together just because of that. It's like buying a Diamond 7970 and not expecting to run hot >_>

Oh I'm sorry did you want dual fans? Here ya go>... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130797

AND BTW... the card he wan'ts doesn't have free shipping so its a win win..

You get a card thats already overclocked so if something breaks.. its the manufactures fault not yours and you didn't pay a single extra dime for that...

Either that dual fan card of the original one he picked... doesn't matter... 8$ shipping and to tax on to this in General let me just make this clear... there is NO WHAT SO EVER GUARANTEE THAT YOU WON"T GET A DEFECTIVE CARD... its just luck.. and the manufactures design to the card that makes them defective..

so then which one should i get

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130797 the dual fan one

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130780 or the free shipping already overclocked one?

They are both over clocked but me personally I like the spuerclocked signature with the backplate. People say they are loud but that design isn't loud at all... people just had bad experience with 480s because they got hot, but the 680s aren't that hot at all. I have a friend with that card and hasn't had a issue with it. I asked for one as a Christmas gift my self

so one more question i guess should i get the 680 or should i get a ssd?

Well without a Graphics card you can't game... and you already have a HDD in your list so you have something to load windows on and install all your games.. if you switch it up.. you will have a lower graphics card to match enough storage for all your games all for what? 4 seconds less in boot up time? ha.. I say get the 680.. the only people that need SSD's are those that care about "Bragging rights" of how fast in seconds their computer boots up. I have a Caviar Black HDD and i get into windows fast enough..

SSD's and HDD's have their pro's and cons. SSD is faster but $$$ per GB the HDD is better.

SSD's need controller updates and firmware updates

HDD's are obviously mechanical so.. there is always room for failure.. But SSD's can go bad to

no i ment should i downgrade the 680 and get a 670 so i can get a SSD

...Well unless your gonna get a lower model 670 to transfer money for a SSD budget...I would set get a 680. Because the best SSD for the 150-180$ range is a Sumsung 840 250GB and its a great SSD but you may have to settle for one of the lower model 670's... Or.. get a FTW (which is quite nice)

so i guess im just gonna stay with the 680 then
