So my computer of 1 year has been working fine, up until 5 days ago so I formatted everything and reinstalled a fresh copy of windows 7 professional. Well I think it's when i update the bios on the mobo it causes my SSD (that has the OS on it) to freeze and give me these errors and also asks me to when i install a bios on mobo to recover bios setting. I have no idea what I should be dong to fix this.

Specs:
i7 4790k
Strix gtx 980
Maximus VII hero

Solution
Probably need to go into the bios and turn on AHCI.
Most bios files have this off as default.
If you installed windows with it on, and it is now off from the bios update your computer will not start.
After a BIOS update or even a reset, you need to boot into BIOS and set it all up correctly. On newer boards AHCI is the default setting but you still need to first set optimized defaults then set the memory speed and timings correctly. While in BIOS check and make sure it is set in AHCI mode. Then save settings and exit. AHCI mode should be set (if needed) before windows is installed.

EDIT:
After setting optimized defaults, enabling XMP, then Profile1 usually will set the memory speed and timings to the advertised specs.
