Monster Hunter Wilds Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 or newer
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-11600K or Intel Core i5-12400 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or AMD Ryzen 5 5500
  • Memory: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super (8 GB VRAM) or NVIDIA RTX 4060 (8 GB VRAM) / AMD RX 6700XT (12 GB VRAM)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 140 GB available space (SSD required)
Additional Notes: This game is expected to run at 60 fps @ 1080p (with Frame Generation enabled) under the "Medium" graphics setting. DirectStorage supported

Even the most powerful gaming PC with a 9800X3D and a 5090 can't run Monster Hunter Wilds properly. When the devs specify that you need frame gen to hit 60 fps at 1080p medium settings with the recommended specs, it's because there's a problem. And the problem is that Capcom used an engine designed for corridor-like games to make a vast and dynamic open world. And it just doesn't work. Same for Dragon Dogma 2, but MHW is worse.

So just get the best hardware you can with your budget and hope you gonna have a smooth 60 fps ride.

With a RTX 4060, a Ryzen 9600x, a B650 motherboard, a 32 GB ddr5 6000 MT/s RAM kit, a good 650 W PSU and a 1 TB NVMe drive, you should be able to stay close to 1000$ if you look for good deals.

Hello there i was asked to spec out a sub $1k all Newegg build for a young lady but it had to be cuteish and pink :smileycat: Maybe could be useful to someone to bounce ideas off? For monster hunter wilds specifically one could leverage FSR4/AFMF 2.1 supported by all RDNA4 gpus?

MH:Wilds is a hard to run game. Its CPU intensive and requires a good graphics card even for 1080p. Here is what I would consider the minimum viable PC to play such a game:
