I need help choosing 80mm fans for my Silverstone case

All black or black/red. I have no idea what rpm and things to look for.

My Silverstone case came with 120mm silent fans on the side. They are of the 3 wire type, and hook directly up to PSU via splitter. They are nice and quiet. They don't have any info I can see, or else I would search for similar 80mm fans.

I reused some old 80mm fans I had lying around on rear. They are very annoying. They also connect directly to PSU. I would use 4 wire fans to the Sys_Fan ports, but I would like a consistent flow. Since I have everything crammed into a HTPC case. Can you suggest a quiet black or black/red 80mm fan?

15$ or less per fan, if possible.

Thanks

Solution
You have one cpu fan header and three system fan headers on that motherboard. I'd suggest you make use of them and allow the bios to automatically control the fan speeds according to thermal readings from the sensors. That will immensely quiet things down. Those CM fans I linked to would work fine for that, or for a better version, these:

And using three of these attached to those motherboard case fan headers:

You can power and control up to 6 case fan locations regardless what size they are. This way with them not connected directly to the power supply they...

Those seem perfect. Can you verify they're quiet from experience? I can't trust description/newegg reviews when it comes to fans.

Thanks

Ok, here's the deal, cheap doesn't equal quiet, and quiet doesn't equal cheap. If you want quiet fans you need either voltage or PWM controlled fans that are run off the motherboard headers or a fan hub. Fans that run directly off the power supply via 4 pin Molex connector will run at full speed at all times. These types of fans are not generally quiet. If you want them quiet they need to be either voltage or PWM controlled. Preferably 4 pin PWM (Pulse width modulation) controlled. What is your motherboard model number?

Gigabyte Model# GA-Z97MX-GAMING 5

I just thought 15$ fans would be good, since cheepo fans (the 2 installed currently) are around 5$. I will spend more/try any method to get them quiet.

Thanks

You can power and control up to 6 case fan locations regardless what size they are. This way with them not connected directly to the power supply they don't run at full speed all the time. They'll only run as fast as they need to to keep the system temps at the specifications you set in the bios which is a simple procedure of selecting the desired fan profile.

This sounds great! Thanks for taking the time to explain everything, and for supplying the links to the parts.

I really appreciate it.
