I need help choosing a cpu!

So im on budget and I wanted to ask what should I choose.
Ryzen 5 1400 or a intel i5-7400 or 6400.
I cant afford the 1600 so dont post things to pay a bit more for it.

depends what you're into , if you're willing to pay and upgrade in the near future go for intel , intel is like android it has variety that will confuse you , AMD in this sense is like iphone

i really dont know what do get beacuse i have heard that amd is better for livestreaming and it has 4 more threads than the intel i5's but i5's dont require fast ram so i would save a bit of money. I can't decide

well the ryzen you're willing to get will probably get as much hot as the said i5 , so it wouldn't matter much they are on the same level it's a matter of taste

If it were me, i'd get the Ryzen 5 1400 that's where the price/performance seems to be right now, plus its easiyoverclocked if you wanted to do that on down the road, whereas the 7400 is not.

I would advice a 1500x for a little more. The low stock speed and terrible stock cooler in 1400 = poor overclocking potential.

no i dont think so. i will get the 1400 and in the future i will get something better when the 1400 gets a bit old

An intermediate solution would be to buy a decent cooler. But that is of course if you are going with a b350 mobo.
