I need help choosing between the Corsair 500R and the 600T

Hello.

Could you please help me with the following problem.

I am building myself a new computer in the near future and I need help choosing between the Corsair Carbide 500R and the Corsair Graphite 600T.

My main concerns are regarding cooling and dust. The impression I got regarding the two cases was that the 500R was better at cooling and the 600T kept out more dust. Please correct me if this impression is incorrect.

I will be running two Gigabyte GTX670's in SLI and would like to know if the 600T can keep them cool enough or whether I am better off with a 500R and just dusting it out more often? I would prefer the 600T but am concerned about my GPU's getting to hot.

Oh and I plan on sticking with air cooling for the foreseeable future with no overclocking.

The great thing about the 600T White Edition, is that it also comes with a MESH Window, which you can replace the clear acrylic with the mesh installed with fans for GPU cooling. If you really want the 600T, GET IT... it's a looker (I have that case myself). Both the 500R and 600T are great cases, you won't go wrong with either of them.

If you get the 600T, just keep the clear acrylic window on because the Gigabyte GPU cards, each have enough fans to cool them.

The option to have the mesh insert is also reassuring. It's great to have options like that just in case it needs more cooling. I managed to miss that there was mesh completely so thanks for pointing it out. Evens out the flan placement options with the 500R considerably.

The temperatures in the 600T were low (system ran cool)... it's now a few months since I moved my system into another case... I have something special planned (an extreme build) for the 600T case.

BUT I highly recommend you get an after-market CPU Cooler for the Core i7 3770.

Well it looks like it is going to be the 600T. It looks stunning, has the filters I want and I think I should be okay heat wise seeing as i don't plan on overclocking.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction and I will definitely take a look at a cpu cooler. Just need to find one that plays nicely with the top fan.
