Samsung or Crucial only for me. Proven performance, reliability and durability. If you cheap out you’ll probably regret it

Just as a first port of call - what is your main application? If it is gaming for example, then there will be no benefit choosing NVMe over any SATA based SSD.

Have you verified the laptop takes PCIe M.2 and not just SATA?

Are you able to get the Intel 660p locally?

Coding, video editing and gaming.

Yes, there's an empty slot for M.2 SSD. 1TB HDD already installed in SATA slot.

Yes i check my local store they have Intel 660p, but it's kinda expensive.

I heard lexar had temperature issue, is staying 40c on idle, and 70c on full load. What do you think about PNY or WD?

You need to specify model#'s of the drives to get any feedback on them.

WD - only the black is NVME
PNY. I have one - won't buy another one ever again thanks to their crappy support and never getting back to me with an RMA#

ASUS TUF FX505DT
Ryzen 5 3550H
Gtx 1650
1TB HDD
8GB ( planning to add 8gb more when ssd already installed)

I thinking about buying lexar nm500. But in idle the temp is 40c-50c, in full load 70c. Is it normal?
