Hello, first of all thanks a lot for taking the time to help. So anyway, I ordered an intel i5-4690K earlier today as an upgrade on my current processor and also ordered the ASrock H97 Pro4, unaware that this motherboard is incapable of overclocking due to my lack of research (lesson learned). So while I am currently trying to cancel my order, I was looking for suggestions of an ATX motherboard to get to accompany the i5- preferably for under £100 (GBP).

These are my current PC specs:
Operating System
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
CPU
AMD A8-6600K
Richland 32nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)
Motherboard
MSI A55M-E33 (MS-7721) (P0)
Graphics
CVTE TV (1600x900@59Hz)
Radeon R9 270X Sapphire 2G Edition
Storage
931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162 ATA Device (SATA)
Optical Drives
TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-224DB ATA Device
Audio
AMD High Definition Audio Device
Power Supply
Corsair CX600M 600W ATX 80+ Bronze PC Power Supply

Again thanks a lot in advance, it's greatly appreciated.

Well a good guide is Toms best MB's (of each month) as a reference. Your best bet is a Z97 MB.

Now at this point do you have any preference on companies? If so then you can narrow down to which MB you will need. Personally I am a fan of EVGA but you will pay a higher price for one of there boards. ASrock is a really good company and a subsidary of Asus so the products are still pretty good and for the price I would go with the Asrock Z97 Extreme4, its a great price and apparently a really good MB with plenty of features as well as SLI capabilities.

In regards to my favourite brand I acctually don't have one in specific, I have only ever had this one build but I am very happy with my motherboard at the moment, I have never had a problem but the current socket is not compatible with the i5. I am basically just looking for a cheap motherboard that works well for overclocking 😉
